About Us

Mr. and Mrs. Hampton own and operate Summer Wind R.V. Overnight Park in Dawson, West Virginia.   The property is stunning - one hundred acres of rolling hills and pastures with mountain views.  Beautiful in spring, summer and fall the site is unique in its easy location, 1/10 of a mile off of interstate 64, exit 150, while maintaining the quiet and pristine loveliness of a more remote location.

From opening day to closing day our Park Host Russ Phillips is on site to help.

The hundred acres was originally a working farm where the Rhodes' family grew up just down the road from their Grandfather's farm.  We'll sure you'll find, as we have, that the mountains of West Virginia are truly "almost heaven", and one of the prettiest places to be anywhere.  The R.V. park was developed to allow guests access to this beautiful property.

We have pull-through sites, a bath house with showers and full electric hookups.

There is plenty of room to stretch out, play games, and just relax.

A high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.  Once they stay at our beautiful "clean and green" overnight park many of our travelers have chosen to stay for a month or longer!

We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
